UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM POLO AND POLOCROSSE CLUB
The University of Birmingham Polo Club is a sociable, friendly, and successful club. We encourage all studying at the university to take up this exhilarating and rewarding sport, whether a seasoned pro or a complete non-rider.
The club was founded in 2008 and from its humble beginnings it has grown into one of the largest and most competitive university clubs in the country. Indeed what was once a small club with no more than 10 playing members has rapidly expanded with membership totalling nigh on 50, with the majority of those playing regularly.
U.B.P.C train weekly at Rugby Polo Club, just a 50 minute drive from the university, and receives expert tuition from 3 goal player Phillip Baker. Rugby Polo Club boasts the largest indoor arena in the country and is acknowledged as having one of the best arena seasons in the country. With three other universities training at Rugby, we are able to play friendly chukkas against other universities, enabling our members to play competitively in between the three major tournaments that are held throughout the year.
